Hi everyone! I recently had surgery for a growth and am doing really well. I am doing my happy dance because the biopsy came back benign! My foster mom says I am healing nicely. I just wanted you to know that I am happy here, but I am still waiting patiently for my new family to come and meet me. Please ask CSAC more about me and hopefully we can meet soon. I cannot wait. Thanks so much. Kisses - Macy

06/29/2016 - UPDATE -

I am here at my great foster home enjoying my new life. There are even cats here to hang with. They are just great. I am one of those pups who doesn't like other pups, but cats are just perfect for me. Life is good now. I love my four daily walks. I'm really happy to meet people when I am on my walks. Just love all those pets people give me. I do love my people and am not thrilled when they leave me alone. My foster grandmom keeps me company when Mom is at work. She is so wonderful to me. Guess we keep each other company! I love her.

Other great things to let you know about is that I have never had an accident in the house. Never! The groomer says I am a very good girl and extra sweet. I love to sleep, too. I even sleep late because Mom likes to do that. I am quite obliging. ;)

I can't wait to be someone's special girl. And remember, I love cats - and cheese - and my people! I know there is someone out there just waiting to meet me and take me home. Love and thanks - Macy

12/04/2015 - UPDATE -

My skin is getting better. I only get one medicated bath a week now. They did find out I have a thyroid condition so I do get medicine for it. The Docs removed the tumor that was on my front shoulder. Unfortunately it was diagnosed as cancerous. The Doc thinks she removed it all! Like any cancer survivor, I will need monitored for any re-occurrences. I need a great foster or adopter who will keep me happy, healthy and active. Can you help?

MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION:

Hi Everyone! My name is Macy, and I just arrived at the CSAC from a shelter. Right now I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. I arrived with a few obvious medical issues so they are checking me out and making sure I am healthy, and trying to find out how to make me feel better. Soon, hopefully, I will find my forever family that will turn me into a happy, cherished family pet.

Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link.

The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. If you can help, please donate.
